CALIFORNIA TRIP 2009

We love going to California! We have family to visit and there is so much fun stuff to do there. We drove last Thursday all night and got to California about 4 am. Thanks Grandma for waiting for us in your recliner! You are such a Party Animal!!! We slept some and went to the beach that morning and enjoyed visiting with Elise and Grandma. Elise had her Prom that night so I helped do her hair. Then Zach picked up the Hurds from the airport that night.

Saturday we had a yummy brunch with family we haven't seen for over a year. Saturday night some of us went to a Dodgers game! The game was slow and ended with the Dodgers hitting a home run to make 2 to 1 win!

Sydney's 5th Birthday!

Sydney had a busy fun 5th Birthday and was spoiled by all. She started off the day going to preschool and brought cute ice cream cone cupcakes. Then she chose 3 friends and took them to McDonalds for happy meals and then to the jump house to play. Then we had family and friends over to our house for pizza and cake and games. Sydney is so excited to be five and go to school next year and is such a fun girl in our family!

Easter 2009 Dress pictures

I haven't taken pictures of the girls in about a year for Sydney and 1 1/2 for Mallory. I am bad. My friend got a new camera and the girls had their new easter dresses, so we had a photo shoot in the canyon. They turned out great. Thanks Bethany for practicing on us. Tell me which ones you like the best!

What happened to March and April?

I'm behind on my blogging but we have been busy having fun!

I hosted my last week of Sydney's Preschool at our house. We practiced writing our ABC's, went bowling with a coconut and then tried eating some. We made a crab and danced alot!(....Well I made about 8 crabs. he he gotta love it!)

I had a rough couple of weeks emotionally and had lots of support from family and friends! Love you all! My sisters came down for part of a weekend. Vanessa gave us massages and Rachelle and Tenley entertained the girls!

I worked Easter weekend so the girls went to Aunt Shabree's house to dye eggs and play. Zach went to a Utah Jazz games with some friends. Sunday the girls found their baskets and new dresses. I taught the Easter lesson in Young Womens after working all night and pray that it made sense. More pictures to come.

Then, I worked extra shifts during the week and was exhausted. I had said a silent prayer that if I filled in for people at work, then things would fall into place and my girls would not be neglected and I would get some sleep. Thanks to Hubers for the babysitting and Rachelle's help on Friday. It was worth it because Zach and I had a great weekend away in Salt Lake. We stayed in the Romeo and Juliet Room at Anniversary Inn. http://www.anniversaryinn.com/rooms.php?room=67
We did some shopping and ate a Tucanos Grill. Then we went and watched the Broadway Play "WICKED". It was better than I could have imagined. (Thanks Eddy and Val the girls loved their sleepover, hiking and the bonfire!)

General Conference

I will be honest I worked Friday night and did not watch Saturday Conference yet. But I did go to the Young Women Broadcast last week and that was amazing and the Prophet was inspired to talk about things we are struggling with our Young Women. We had my Sisters over Sunday and we watched both sessions of conference sunday. They were really powerful. I wanted to write down some of my thoughts from these sessions before I forget them.

1. I was so thankful for the talk on the Savior and that he has of course experienced everything and we are never alone.
2. More than once speakers said we have more help than we know from the other side.
This was very special to me because when I really need my Mom I feel she is still there helping me and closer than I know. It was a testimony that they are not very far away and that they are not too busy to look after us still.
3. I need to reach out to the lonely more and be a better friend. I need to serve more and enjoy the blessings also.
4. I need to be more willing to share the gospel with my friends.
5. I deeply want to be able to go to the temple more often and should make it a goal to go at LEAST once a week.

I will have to add to this list after I watch the Saturday sessions. I am always uplifted, strengthened and inspired to be better after conference.

SPRING BREAK 2009!

We didn't really need a break because none of us are in school and Zach still had to work. We were really excited for the warm week and cousins out of school to play with! Thank you Shabree for letting us play at your house and planning a fun spring break PARTY! The kids played in the hot tub and outside and played wii and watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua. The ladies dyed Sheena's hair and did vinyl letters and talked. We had a fry daddy party and hotdogs for the kiddos! We also went to a 50 cent movie that week. Now it is windy and cold again. Saturday night we had some friends over and had a BBQ and played games. It was fun and we should do things like that more because I really enjoy it.

Since then we have been chillaxin! Sydney really liked Twilight. She thought Edward was soooo handsome and she liked his hair. She also keeps biting her arm and showing me the teeth marks. Wierdo! Zach finally watched the movie with me and seemed entertained.

Our 1979 garage door finally bit the dust, so we got a new garage door and it is much better. Not a fun thing to spend taxes on but it was the priority.
