Boring Winter Weeks!

Here's what we have been up to...........work, mutual, stake basketball, colds, potty training, watching our favorite shows on DVR, playing at Hop To It, and being bored inside because it is still COLD!

Here are a few snapshots of mostly the girls being silly!

Pajamas on early today and hanging out playing in the basement together with toys and movies! Sometimes they like each other!

Playing at Hop To It.....Jump Houses and slides.

The girls using Zach's raquetballs to look like Pussy Cat dolls WHEN I GROW UP!

We are excited for twilight to come out on DVD. Crazy Girls. They played with these teeth for days. Mallory was drooling all over everything and giggly.

Melting Pot

Monday night in Boise we went to the Melting Pot with Hawkleys and the Hurds! Rachelle and Candice scored us some super good coupons and it was SO MUCH FUN! It is a fondue restaurant. There are two burners in the middle of the tables. We had a 4 course meal. The cheese fondue with breads, vegetables and green apples was my favorite. Then we had yummy salads. Next was a platter of different meats and veggies. You boiled them in a seasoned broth or fryed them in a pot of oil. We tried duck and it was ok but spicy and a tougher dark meat then chicken. I think I will stick with chicken. There was about 10 different sauces to dip things in. Then was my delicious dessert. We were stuffed. It was about a 2 1/2 hour experience. It was fun to visit and laugh in between stuffing our faces. We would recommend it and had a great night. Thanks Vanessa again for babysitting your cute nieces for about 4 hours. We love you!

After church on Sunday we drove to Boise. We stayed in a fun Hotel with our friends the Hawkley's. Their sister worked at the hotel and got us a huge double room with 2 bathrooms and 3 beds for supa cheap! It was fun to let the kids swim and to play games until the early morning. We went to breakfast together and let the little girls swim again the next day. Then we played Rock Band at the Hawkleys and cat napped. That evening we went to a late Valentines dinner at the Melting Pot with Hawkley's and the Hurds. It was a super fun few days! We love bank holidays! Thanks for all the awesome coupons and VANESSA'S BABYSITTING!

Awe.....I love it when you wear them out swimming!

Valentines Day 2009

Zach really spoiled all of us girls this Valentines. He bought me a rose bouquet and the girls each got flowers in vases. They thought they were pretty special. Zach also had bought me a tanning package and a facial with lots of face creams with it. He had bought them at a silent auction at an event he hosted last month. I likey! Then he took Sydney to a fundraiser that was a father, daughter ball. She loved dressing up and they had dinner together and then went to the ball and danced. Sydney liked wearing makeup the best. Mallory played with cousins that night and Mommy worked. On Valentines Day I helped at the Young Womens Dinner. Zach came and had dinner with me. Then I helped clean up and danced with the girls!

Journal entry

I usually dread January and February because they are slow and cold. This year they are flying bye. I have worked extra shifts at the hospital and we are happy to have a few extra things payed off. We hope to save up and fix up our bathrooms and maybe wood floors in the living room this summer. We are also thinking about taking the girls to Disneyland again because we have $300 of reward points on our Disney Credit card. PS this is our only credit card and it helped pay for tickets last time we went too. Zach loves visiting my Grandparents in CALI because they are awesome hosts.
We have been busy at church lately. We talked in church yesterday and are glad it is over. I talked on Virtue and Zach talked on Honesty. It was good for us and we hadn't talked in almost 3 yrs. I was called as 1st Counselor in Young Womens and am super excited. This makes me gone on Wednesdays now. Zach helps ref stake basketball on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Then I am going to try to work every Friday night. So we were thinking why we hadn't been to the temple lately and realized our evenings are booked. Basketball is over in 3 weeks. YEAH!
The girls are getting bored with winter but have enjoyed preschool, Hop-To-It and having friends over lately.
I have also been playing volleyball with the hospital city league team. It has been so much fun and I will be sad when it is over.
I also got sick on Wednesday and almost couldn't talk. I worked the next 2 nights and finally felt better Saturday and didn't have to work that night. We went down to Zach's parents house last night for Sunday dinner. It was fun to relax and visit. His Mom and sister just got back from a 2 week cruise thru the Panama Canal. She has so many cool experiences with her job.
Mallory is working on potty training and is doing really good. She wears pull ups and keeps them dry all night and maybe on accident a day. Not ready to risk panties yet.
We are still going strong without sugar!!! It is still hard though. I thought it would get easier as time went on. Everday is still a struggle for me. 12 week challenge is hard. I haven't been working out very much and can't figure out why. Just not motivated lately.
SORRY NO PICTURES. NEXT WEEK I PROMISE!

I need suggestions on discipline and motherly support!

I had a Frustrating week as a Mother. I had preschool at my house two days this week for 2hrs each day with a total of 10 kids if you count mine. Sydney would not listen to me or cooperate during this time and fought over toys with kids and even hit one of them. She also had a fit in Dairy Queen and screamed and flipped food all over.....I think on accident. I told her if we got in the car right now I would get her another ice cream cone. She quickly abliged and then I high tailed it oughta there. WHITE LIE but it worked and she knew why I did it too. So by Thursday after preschool was over and the last child left, I locked myself in the bathroom and had a good cry. Sydney was outside the door yelling at me the whole time about what a Family means because I told her she had made me very sad. She has been crying over every thing the last few weeks and I am exhausted. I think part of it is hopefully a stage and part of it is the weather and she is bored being cooped up so much. So I am sick of threatening things, sticker charts were a joke, timeouts she screams the whole time and I try not to spank. Hmmmm I am out of ideas.
I really need to go to the temple and just feel my Heavenly Fathers love for me and know that he understands and will help both me and my children be happier. Motherhood is the hardest job ever. I respect my own mother so much. I know I could never do this job without the gospel.
