Kick Off Summer 2009

Well I am behind in blogging. We have not been up to much since Disneyland. Just working and our normal routines. The girls love love love to do puzzles together. They are really good at them. Mallory can do a 25 piece puzzle by herself quickly and Syd does the 50-75 piece puzzles. It is cute to see them play together and entertain themselves.

Sydney finished her little preschool and they had a cute graduation.

We signed her up for afternoon kindergarten and then she had to get her immunizations. We talked about it before we went and Zach was able to come with us. I told her it pinches and that she had to be brave, but it was ok to cry a little. Then she decided she wanted a happy meal and ice cream for her treat afterwards. She did really well and tried to talk the nurse down to only 2 shots but she had to get 4. Dad held her and she whimpered until the 4th one really hurt and she screamed OUCH.... I'M BEING BRAVE! It was funny. She made us carry her around that night. He he so we did. It was quite the experience for her.

Thought I would add this cute picture of Zach and I at a YW activity. We played the newlywed game! We lost but it was fun!

California Trip Highlights!

Our California trip was so much fun! Now we are back to normal life and that isn't too bad either. Some of our highlights of the trip included: Visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Jones and extended family, talking with Elise and having Rachelle's family come with us. Hawkley's our BFF's meeting us at Disneyland! Going to a Dodgers game, Twilight Convention, In-N-Out Burger, Random Miniature donkey and carriage strolling thru Grandma's neighborhood, Twilight Convention, Disneyland of course, Eating at the Blue Lagoon Pirates Restaurant, Jay Leno show and meeting Adam Sandler. Long Road trip talks and making up an award winning story with Zach that will win us Millions someday. Staying with Kimberly and Jeff and meeting Katelyn on the way home.
Not so fun was Traffic, Alice not showing up to Twilight Convention, Long lines at Convention, Tired kids in Disneyland, and the little fender bender in a parking lot.

Disneyland May 2009

We went to a twilight convention in California. We met Dr. Carlisle Cullen, Emmett Cullen and one of the evil vampires. It was fun to meet hot actors, but the lines were long for some of it. They had a question and answer forum and it was cool to hear about them working on the Twilight movies. Dr. Cullen is good lookin'! Our pictures of Emmett were at the end of the day and they will be mailing them to us soon.

We also met the actor who played Star Wars Chewbacca. He was huge and strange.

We also went to a free taping of the Jay Leno show! Zach stood in line from 11am to get us good seats. Candice (my friend)and I showed up at 3pm right before the taping started at 4pm. We had seats about 4 rows back it was really exciting. Zach screamed can I have a picture so we got one! Then we saw Adam Sandler and he sang Jay a song. Zach also got a handshake and Candice got a hug from Adam. I was too shy. Carrott top performed and Soldier Boy. Thanks Grandma and Elise for babysitting!

CALIFORNIA TRIP 2009

We love going to California! We have family to visit and there is so much fun stuff to do there. We drove last Thursday all night and got to California about 4 am. Thanks Grandma for waiting for us in your recliner! You are such a Party Animal!!! We slept some and went to the beach that morning and enjoyed visiting with Elise and Grandma. Elise had her Prom that night so I helped do her hair. Then Zach picked up the Hurds from the airport that night.

Saturday we had a yummy brunch with family we haven't seen for over a year. Saturday night some of us went to a Dodgers game! The game was slow and ended with the Dodgers hitting a home run to make 2 to 1 win!

Sydney's 5th Birthday!

Sydney had a busy fun 5th Birthday and was spoiled by all. She started off the day going to preschool and brought cute ice cream cone cupcakes. Then she chose 3 friends and took them to McDonalds for happy meals and then to the jump house to play. Then we had family and friends over to our house for pizza and cake and games. Sydney is so excited to be five and go to school next year and is such a fun girl in our family!
